Introductory meeting
A number of our members are available to chat with parents considering home education. To arrange this, phone or email a 'contact person'. (see 'Contact' below)

Membership
Prospective members may receive a newsletter and participate in activities for two months prior to joining. Annual financial membership is from July to June each year, (pro rata for those joining part way through the year). Fees provide us with insurance cover for our activities.

Get-togethers

We meet on most Thursdays. Our members organise activities such as: craft sessions, guided tours of exhibitions around town, visits to places of interest, theme and performance days, bowling, swimming and ice-skating. If there is demand, members may organise a regular group eg. on story writing or book discussion which runs for a number of weeks, or regularly through the year. We also book tickets to the theatre for children's shows at a discounted price. Often, activities are followed by a picnic in a local park.
